This article was very short but it informed me about something I did not know. This article is about launching Facebook in China. Personally I had no idea that people in China did not have access to Facebook. China is a very strict country its like people cannot do anything over there. In the article it stated that China had over 450 million internet users thats a lot of people. However, I wonder what they are doing on the internet because the government blocks the majority of the web sites over there. I don't think that allowing the people of China to use Facebook would cause any harm. People should have the right to use the internet they way that they want to especially if they are paying for internet service. Blocking most of the websites in China is just making internet usage extremely boring. I dont know what I would do if I said in a country like China.
I'm assuming that by granting people in China access to Facebook, more people will be harmed by the site than helped. Because of such strict censorship in their nation, the new users of Facebook may get themselves into trouble by posting things on their pages that are considered unacceptable by whomever does the censoring. I hope Facebook doesn't lead to much harm for innocent people in China, but I do hope these people get to enjoy the site like many users around the globe currently do.
